CELEBRATE this EASTER

easter-2010-celebrate-blog1
This Easter will be a powerful celebration!  The music will be loud, groovy, inspirational and creative.  It will lead you to raise your voice, clap your hands and maybe even stomp your feet.  This is gonna be a blast!
Here’s what you can do to celebrate:
  • Get there early and get your seat.
  • Bring it!  When the music starts…break out in applause and get the party started.
  • Sing out! Sing at the top of your lungs and worship with all your heart.  Don’t worry, even if you can’t sing, we’ll have the music rockin’ so that those around you can’t really tell.
  • Clap! Get into the music by clapping and honor God by praising Him with applause!
Remember…it is all about worshipping our God.  He is the object of our affection and passion.
Come ready to celebrate!

WHICH service should you ATTEND this EASTER?

easter-2010-attend-blog
God is going to do something incredible this Easter!  We are expecting huge crowds and many new faces to Keystone.  For many people, this is the one shot that they give Jesus each year.  We are fired up about Easter at Keystone Church.
We anticipate the 9:30am and 11:00am services to be the popular choice of our guests.  So we are asking all members and regular attenders to attend one of the other four services to make room for our guests in the 9:30am and 11:00am services. It is our heart that we never have to turn anyone away from experiencing a passionate life in Christ.  We need our members and regular attenders to lead out in our vision by creating seats for the peeps! The four service times that we are asking members and regular attenders to attend are Saturday at 4:30pm, 6:30pm and Sunday at 8:00am & 12:45pm.

BAPTISM this EASTER

easter-2010-baptism-blog
EASTER is a perfect time for Baptism!  Baptism is a beautiful thing. It is a wonderful picture of life-change, an outward expression of the amazing things that God is doing on the inside of you.  At Keystone Church, we like to refer to it as the ultimate slam dunk!
Jesus led by example when he was baptized. We would love the opportunity to share in this very special expression of your faith in Jesus. If you are at a place where you would like to be baptized this Easter or would just like to talk further about baptism, please contact us by calling the church office at 817-431-8800 or email jody@keystonechurch.com.

INVITE this EASTER

easter-2010-invite-blog
This Easter we challenge you to invite, invite, invite! Invite your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and anyone who you meet.  God continually uses these simple invitations in amazing ways where people come and find a new life in Jesus.  An invitation could save a marriage, heal a broken heart, give someone hope, or shatter an addiction.  You just never know. The Easter services are going to be powerful and creative.  We will be sharing the free gift of forgiveness that is available through a relationship with Jesus in a simple, straighforward way. This will be the perfect weekend to bring “everyone”.
This Easter we are not sending a mailer.  This Easter, YOU ARE THE INVITATION!  We are providing “invite cards” the three weekends prior to Easter (March 13/14, 20/21, 27/28) to help you invite your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and community. We know that you are up to the challenge of actively taking forward the vision of leading everyone to experience a passionate life in Christ!

HOW THE INVITE CARDS WORK
  1. Take several invite cards.
  2. Find creative ways to invite the community utlizing the invite cards..leave them with your receipt at the resteraunt, put them on cars, hand them out, or whatever fun way you come up with.
  3. Pray for the person you are going to give the invite card to. You don’t have to know them, just pray for them.
  4. Invite the person to Keystone by handing them the invite card.
Here’s an example of using the invite card:
Say you are shopping at your local grocery store.  When you arrive or before you leave, pray for the people who own the cars on each side of your car.  Ask God to bless them and that they would come to the Easter services at Keystone. Then place the INVITE CARD on the driver’s window right above the door handle with the “I Prayed for You” side facing them.
Inviting your community to church is a practical and effective way of sharing God’s love.

SERVE this EASTER

easter-2010-serve-blog
This Easter is going to be AMAZING!  We anticipate large crowds…more than have ever been to Keystone on a weekend.  That means more people will be hearing about God’s life-changing love on that weekend than ever before in the history of Keystone Church. That pumps us up!
Our passion is for Easter weekend to be an excellent experience, like every weekend at Keystone, for all the new faces that choose to attend on Easter.  This can only happen with amazing volunteers.
We need your help to make this happen! We are asking you to make a small sacrifice and SERVE, SERVE , SERVE! “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45
Here’s the challenge for volunteering this Easter: Serve in two of our six services this Easter.
We are asking all current volunteers to step up.  Those of you who have never served, we have a place for you as well.  On the weekends of March 6/7 and March 13/14, we will provide all the details on how you can serve.
If you are interested in serving, email jody@keystonechurch.com or call the church office at 817-431-8800.

Frequently Asked Questions about Baptism

The next opportunity for Baptism is Easter weekend, April 11/12.

We know that there are many questions related to baptism.  We encourage you to check out our FAQ about baptism below.

  1. Why should I be baptized? Baptism is Biblical. Throughout the New Testament you find this powerful symbol practiced by those who began the journey of following Christ.  It is a sign of your relationship with Christ and a symbol of the power found through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
  2. Is baptism necessary for salvation? No
  3. Why should I be baptized by immersion? At Keystone Church, we baptize by immersion because it is the clear method used in the Bible.
  4. What about infant baptism? We have many members who have been baptized as an infant.  We celebrate their parent’s desire to place them in the path toward a relationship with God.  We believe that infant baptism is different than believer’s baptism.  We have our own version of infant dedication periodically throughout the year.
  5. When should I be baptized? As soon as possible! The best opportunity for you to be baptized is this Easter weekend (April 11/12) or our next Communion Gathering.  We also schedule monthly baptism services. We will also schedule a time for you to be baptized at your convenience.

We encourage you to listen to one of Brandon’s messages on baptism at keystonechurch.com/baptism.

Serve on Easter

serve-easter

We are anticipating many guests this Easter. This is a great opportunity to LOVE OTHERS by serving them! We added an additional 4th identical service on Sunday morning at 8:30am to accommodate the large crowds. To help make Easter a wonderful Keystone experience, we are asking each of our members to commit to serving twice on Easter. If you have not already done so, you can indicate which service you plan to attend and how you want to serve online or this weekend during the service on the card provided for you. If you are not serving and would like to begin, contact Eric at eric@keystonechurch.com.
