Year in Review

Year in Review Promo from Keystone Church on Vimeo.

2009 was filled with headlines: “Swine Flu, Iranian Election, the Rise of Social Networking, the Economic Meltdown, and the ‘King of POP’ dies under a cloud of controversy.”  This past year seems to stand out as a dramatic example of the uncertain nature of the world around us.   We’ve seen our 401Ks plummet while the number of ‘friends’ on Facebook climbed almost daily.  Our homes, schools, and churches have been amply stocked with Purell hand sanitizer and watched as the swine flu seemed to affect us all.

Yet, the question we MUST ask is this: What have we learned?  How can we leverage the drama of 2009 into a more desirable future?  Join us beginning November 28/29 as Brandon Thomas shows us God’s perspective on life’s most dramatic headlines in the new series YEAR in REVIEW.

Worship Team Auditions

wt-aditions-blog

The Keystone worship team along with Keystone Church at large is continually growing and changing in our attempts to provide people with unforgettable encounters with God. We are committed to growing the most effective worship team in order to create a weekend experience you won’t soon forget.

Keystone’s band consists of acoustic guitars, electric guitars, drums bass and keyboards. On special occasions we will use different instruments to enhance the worship experience. If you play an instrument or sing and would like to get involved in the worship band, we are holding auditions on Saturday, December 12 from 1:30-3:30pm.

Launch Countdown: Day 1

LAUNCH:
Passionate lives in Christ

God told Abraham: Go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others….All the families on earth will be blessed through you. (Genesis 12:1-3)

As we seek to “lead everyone to experience a passionate life in Christ,” pray guidance for Keystone to boldly LAUNCH into what God has in store for us. Pray for open hearts to give, sacrifice and serve. Pray for the vision of Keystone to expand its influence on our community and to reach more for Christ. Pray for provision of all the needs of Keystone. Pray for everyone to lead a passionate life in Christ.

“We can continue to try and clean up the gutters all over the world and spend all of our resources looking at just the dirty spots and trying to make them clean. Or we can lift our eyes up and look into the skies and move forward in an evolutionary way.” Buzz Aldrin

Launch Countdown: Day 2

LAUNCH:
Personal ministry
How does God want me to serve?

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.

Hebrews 12:1

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22, 23

As we seek to “lead everyone to experience a passionate life in Christ,” pray for your personal walk with Christ and how He can flow through you to serve others. Pray for fruits of the spirit to fill you and be used in his church to bring others to follow Christ. Pray for openness to where God wants you to use your gifts.

2 Corinthians 9: 5-7

As we seek to “lead everyone to experience a passionate life in Christ,” pray for yourself and your family. Pray for God to give you a sacrificial heart and to guide your decisions of giving. Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and unity among all of your family members. Pray for provision to follow through with your commitment.

PRAYER POINTS

  • Personal ministry
  • Where does God want me to go?

LAUNCH:
Sacrificial Hearts
What does God want me to do?

I tell you, use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. In this way, your generosity stores up a reward for you in heaven.

Luke 16:9

So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given. Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

  • Sacrificial hearts
  • What does God want me to do?

“God has given us two hands — one to receive with and the other to give with. We are not cisterns made for hoarding; we are channels made for giving.” Billy Graham

Launch Commitment Weekend

launch-commitment-blog
There is an undeniable ENERGY at Keystone as we all LAUNCH together into a new era of supernatural living and sacrificial giving.  As we each prayerfully seek God’s guidance into our next opportunity as a church, He has given us this moment as an opportunity to grow in our passion for Him.  Thank you for your devotion to God’s church!

On November 7th and 8th, we will come together for our LAUNCH Commitment Weekend.  This is going to be an amazing weekend of inspiration as our church family comes together to present their financial commitments for the two-year LAUNCH journey.  Again, your commitment to this journey is moving forward with what God has told you to do sacrificially for the vision that He has given Keystone to lead everyone to experience a passionate life in Christ…..no twisted arms, just willing hearts.

You may either use your commitment card from the LAUNCH brochure that you have previously received, or we will have commitment cards on each chair and available at the Information Center.  We can’t contain our excitement as we anticipate the opportunities that God will open up for Keystone as we LAUNCH together on Commitment Weekend.  You don’t want to miss it!
