CHEW on IT! High Fidelity (Part 2)

Chew on the scriptures from High Fidelity (Part 1) Before You Were One.

You can watch the message here.

Hebrews 13
4 Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage..

Genesis 2
23″At last!” Adam exclaimed. “She is part of my own flesh and bone! She will be called `woman,’ because she was taken out of a man.” 24This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one

Genesis 12
10 At that time a severe famine struck the land of Canaan, forcing Abram to go down to Egypt, where he lived as a foreigner. 11 As he was approaching the border of Egypt, Abram said to his wife, Sarai, “Look, you are a very beautiful woman. 12 When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife. Let’s kill him; then we can have her!’ 13 So please tell them you are my sister. Then they will spare my life and treat me well because of their interest in you.”

14 And sure enough, when Abram arrived in Egypt, everyone spoke of Sarai’s beauty. 15 When the palace officials saw her, they sang her praises to Pharaoh, their king, and Sarai was taken into his palace. 16 Then Pharaoh gave Abram many gifts because of her—sheep, goats, cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels.

17 But the Lord sent terrible plagues upon Pharaoh and his household because of Sarai, Abram’s wife. 18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram and accused him sharply. “What have you done to me?” he demanded. “Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ and allow me to take her as my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and get out of here!” 20 Pharaoh ordered some of his men to escort them, and he sent Abram out of the country, along with his wife and all his possessions.

Prioritizing will be PAINFUL

Matthew 6
21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Where is your MONEY?

Where is your TIME?

Proverbs 29
25 The fear of man lays a snare,
but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.

Priorities must be PROTECTED

Under the Hood

under-the-hood-blog

Has your check engine light ever come on when you’re driving?  Even though you know something is wrong, have you been ignoring it?  Maybe you’re experiencing less than peak performance?  Even worse, has there been a complete breakdown that has left you stranded? Actually, we’re not talking about cars here…we are talking about real men dealing with real issues and real life.  We live in a broken world and we are subject to sin that has shattered God’s original design for our lives.  It’s time for us to get ‘under the hood’ and gain an understanding of our life challenges and learn how to repair them. Once the challenges have been repaired in our lives, it is so important that there is a clear understanding of how high performance can be maintained in our lives. This spring, Keystone will be hosting a series of relevant and inspiring messages at Men’s Leadership Breakfast events.

CHEW on IT! High Fidelity (Part 1)

Chew on the scriptures from High Fidelity (Part 1) Before You Were One.

You can watch the message here.

FIDELITY: a) loyalty ; b) the degree to which the simulation matches the real thing.

Hebrews 13
4 Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage.

Song of Solomon 8
4 Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, not to awaken love until the time is right.

1 Thessalonians 4
3 God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. 4 Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—5 not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways.

1 Corinthians 6
15 Don’t you realize that your bodies are actually parts of Christ? Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never! 16 And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say, “The two are united into one.” 17 But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.
18 Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. 19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

2 Corinthians 11
2 For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband—Christ. 3 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.

COMMIT TO A LIFESTYLE OF FIDELITY

CONFESS YOUR INFIDELITY

Psalm 32
1 Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!
2 Yes, what joy for those
whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt,
whose lives are lived in complete honesty!
3 When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.
5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

How you deal with your PAST sins is a template for how you will deal with your FUTURE sins

1 John 1
9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

James 5
16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Romans 8
9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you.
11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Romans 6
4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

Philippians 3
10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead.

God can renew your heart!

Revelation 21
5 And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!”
