Vollapalooza is a time to say “thank you ” to all of our Keystone volunteers who continue each week to love God, love others and love life together! Bring your family and we’ll provide the food, the fun and the fellowship. Mark your calendars today for June 27th at 6:00 at Keller Pointe. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to meet new friends, have fun in the sun with your family and be appreciated by your Keystone Staff!

SERVE this EASTER

easter-2010-serve-blog
This Easter is going to be AMAZING!  We anticipate large crowds…more than have ever been to Keystone on a weekend.  That means more people will be hearing about God’s life-changing love on that weekend than ever before in the history of Keystone Church. That pumps us up!
Our passion is for Easter weekend to be an excellent experience, like every weekend at Keystone, for all the new faces that choose to attend on Easter.  This can only happen with amazing volunteers.
We need your help to make this happen! We are asking you to make a small sacrifice and SERVE, SERVE , SERVE! “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45
Here’s the challenge for volunteering this Easter: Serve in two of our six services this Easter.
We are asking all current volunteers to step up.  Those of you who have never served, we have a place for you as well.  On the weekends of March 6/7 and March 13/14, we will provide all the details on how you can serve.
If you are interested in serving, email jody@keystonechurch.com or call the church office at 817-431-8800.

Community Groups: Core Value 5 of 5

Author: Eric Colquett

As we begin a new semester of Community Groups, we have been looking at the important core values of our Community Groups.  The values we have covered are that CGs are the Care Function of the church.  Next we looked at the importance of Multiplication for the groups and the church.  Then we looked at the importance of the CGs to Support the Mission and Vision of the church.  The last post was about the value of CGs in Strengthening Your Faith. The final value that we will discuss is the importance of Serving as a Group.
Community Groups provide a great way to connect at Keystone.  Another great way to connect and support the church is by serving. The local church is God’s chosen instrument to carry His hope to the world. What an awesome responsibility! We encourage each person that attends a CG to be actively serving at Keystone.  Each weekend we have many opportunities for you to use your gifts.
As the CG serves together, this deepens the connection to each other and to the church.  Serving as a CG also gives the group more opportunities to invite others they see on the weekend to their CG.
That concludes our look at the 5 Core Values of Community Groups.  I would love to hear your feedback about how one or many of these values has impacted you as you attend Keystone and Community Groups.

Why Volunteer?

Author: Eric Colquett
Serving in the local church should be an intregal  part of every Christ Followers life.  In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul talks about how each of us are gifted as Christ-Followers.  Each of us has a part to play in the body of Christ.  We should always be striving to use the gifts that God has given us to build up the church.  God has not called us to be spectators but to be a part of the team that helps the church achieve its purpose.  At Keystone, that purpose is to help others become passionate followers of Christ.
For some, this means that they make themselves available to welcome guests and help them feel like they are a part of the family. This is accomplished by providing a very personal atmosphere through our Welcome Team, Parking Team, and Check-in Teams. For others, this means that they are using their gifts to help create cool environments to invite lost friends. This is accomplished through our Audio/Visual Team and Atmosphere Teams.  Still others are using their gifts to help kids and students learn about God in creative ways.  Our Little Campers, Camp Keystone, The Lodge and Youth teams help us accomplish this. All of these things help us achieve a place where together we can Love God, Love Others and Love Life.

This Fall, we are experiencing major growth at Keystone.  This is the time of year that we see many, many new families coming through our doors. If you are a member of Keystone, evaluate how you are using your gifts to serve the church.  Are you actively looking for ways to be a part of the church?  If not, now is a great time to get started!

A great opportunity to jump in is at the SERVOLUTION on September 19/20.
If you would like to get started serving or would like to step up your service, please email me at eric@keystonechurch.com.

One Prayer Service Project UPDATE

love-othersThe Servolution is on, and it is sooo Servalicious!  Last weekend, Keystone Church completed several projects through the Neighborhood Initiative Program at North Richland Hills.  We had the incredible opportunity to change lives one person at a time.  We repainted a couple of houses, replaced a front door, mowed lawns, cleaned up yards, replaced fencing, repaired exterior trim and, most importantly, showed people God’s amazing love through our service.  This weekend, we will conclude the Servolution with a couple more houses being painted, repainting and landscaping a men’s homeless shelter, helping to organize a 30,000 SF warehouse that serves people in need, landscaping the new corporate headquarters for the Cornerstone Assistance Network, and serving an incredible dinner to the men at the homeless shelter.  We would like to thank all those who have participated in the Servolution.  We continue to be in awe of what God can do through His people.   You can check out videos and pictures from all the projects below or at the following website:  www.vimeo.com/groups/keystoneoneprayer

The Servolution is Servalicious

blog-servolution-is-servaliciousServolution is Servalicious…. The Servolution is on at Keystone Church.  Servolution is an intentional focus during the month of June and our One Prayer series where we will be sending people out into the community to serve it up.  It is an opportunity for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus and meet people at their point of need.  This is a chance for us to show each and every person we serve that God and Keystone Church “Love Others”.

During Servolution, Keystone Church has partnered with Cornerstone Assistance Network, The City of North Richland Hills and other organizations to provide projects that people can get involved in that will make a difference in someone’s life.  The projects range from painting houses for the elderly to preparing and serving a meal to the homeless to helping to organize a 30,000 SF warehouse that is providing a multitude of services to those in need.  The bottom line is that there are a variety of ways that people can use their God-given abilities to make a difference in our world.

We firmly believe that this month will be spectacular and the God is going to do amazing things as we mobilize our people to go out and make a difference in the community.  You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to connect with others, invite your friends, or get the community group back together while doing great works for very deserving people.  As the Bible instructs us in Philippians 2:3-4, “Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.  Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”

If you would like to find out more about the Servolution, visit the information center before or after any of our three service times.  You may also contact John Bain at jbain@keystonechurch.com or 817-431-8800.

Serve on Easter

serve-easter

We are anticipating many guests this Easter. This is a great opportunity to LOVE OTHERS by serving them! We added an additional 4th identical service on Sunday morning at 8:30am to accommodate the large crowds. To help make Easter a wonderful Keystone experience, we are asking each of our members to commit to serving twice on Easter. If you have not already done so, you can indicate which service you plan to attend and how you want to serve online or this weekend during the service on the card provided for you. If you are not serving and would like to begin, contact Eric at eric@keystonechurch.com.
