RED CARPET EXPERIENCE

red-carpet-blog

At Keystone Church, EXPERIENCE MATTERS!  Whether it is someone’s first time to walk through our doors, a family dropping off their 3 year old in Little Campers or insuring a safe environment on our campus , it is our mission to make it a RED CARPET experience.  The RED CARPET EXPERIENCE will be a unique opportunity of praise and worship, hearing a word from Brandon and a chance to take your serve to a new level.   On Sunday, August 1 at 6PM, ALL of our weekend volunteers will join together as we equip and coach our teams to create THE RED CARPET EXPERIENCE at Keystone. Childcare is provided with RSVP.  To register for this event, e-mail Jody at jody@keystonechurch.com.

SERVOLUTION WOW!

Wow…it was amazing to see the impact that Keystone Church made on our community during the Servolution Community Service Projects! Over the course of two weekends, we cleared a small forest worth of overgrown vegetation from homes; put on over 80 gallons of paint; installed nearly 1000 square feet of vinyl siding; replaced doors; installed new fencing; completely overhauled the landscaping on several homes; served dozens of people in downtown Fort Worth; and, literally moved/organized several semi-truck loads of donations. We truly showed the community how we as a church “Love God, Love Others, and Love Life” through our unconditional service. The stories have been amazing to hear how through our acts of kindness people experienced God’s love for the first time ever or the first time in a long time.

A big thank you goes out to all those who gave up their Saturday to make a difference in our community. You all did an incredible job of carrying forward our culture of service and our vision of leading everyone to experience a passionate life in Christ!

SERVE this EASTER

easter-2010-serve-blog
This Easter is going to be AMAZING!  We anticipate large crowds…more than have ever been to Keystone on a weekend.  That means more people will be hearing about God’s life-changing love on that weekend than ever before in the history of Keystone Church. That pumps us up!
Our passion is for Easter weekend to be an excellent experience, like every weekend at Keystone, for all the new faces that choose to attend on Easter.  This can only happen with amazing volunteers.
We need your help to make this happen! We are asking you to make a small sacrifice and SERVE, SERVE , SERVE! “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45
Here’s the challenge for volunteering this Easter: Serve in two of our six services this Easter.
We are asking all current volunteers to step up.  Those of you who have never served, we have a place for you as well.  On the weekends of March 6/7 and March 13/14, we will provide all the details on how you can serve.
If you are interested in serving, email jody@keystonechurch.com or call the church office at 817-431-8800.

The Keystone worship team along with Keystone Church at large is continually growing and changing in our attempts to provide people with unforgettable encounters with God. We are committed to growing the most effective worship team in order to create a weekend experience you won’t soon forget.

Keystone’s band consists of acoustic guitars, electric guitars, drums bass and keyboards. On special occasions we will use different instruments to enhance the worship experience. If you play an instrument or sing and would like to get involved in the worship band, we are holding auditions on Saturday, December 12 from 1:30-3:30pm.

God Honors Hard Work

This past weekend, we had an exciting transformation happen on the Keystone campus as some of the men of Keystone united together and installed a timber stair system in between our two parking lots at the rear of the church.  It never gets old seeing people utilize the gifts that God has given them to make an impact.

There is no question that God honors hard work and doing things in excellence.  From the very beginning, God intended for man to work.  Genesis 2:15 tells us that, “God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”  I’m not sure about you; but, for me, there is just something about physical work with your hands that is good for the soul.  It amazes me that out of all professions that God could have had Jesus take on, that He chose carpentry.

We would like to say thank you to all the men on the Keystone Facilities Maintenance and Campus Improvement Team (yeah, we love the long title…) or KFMCT for short who were able to participate in this past week’s project.  It was a blast!  Check out some of the pictures.  Know that your labors will help more and more people have a better experience coming to Keystone and that experience may lead them to the even greater experience of meeting Jesus.  I’ll leave you with this verse of encouragement, “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” - 1 Corinthians 15:58

Community Groups: Core Value 5 of 5

Author: Eric Colquett

As we begin a new semester of Community Groups, we have been looking at the important core values of our Community Groups.  The values we have covered are that CGs are the Care Function of the church.  Next we looked at the importance of Multiplication for the groups and the church.  Then we looked at the importance of the CGs to Support the Mission and Vision of the church.  The last post was about the value of CGs in Strengthening Your Faith. The final value that we will discuss is the importance of Serving as a Group.
Community Groups provide a great way to connect at Keystone.  Another great way to connect and support the church is by serving. The local church is God’s chosen instrument to carry His hope to the world. What an awesome responsibility! We encourage each person that attends a CG to be actively serving at Keystone.  Each weekend we have many opportunities for you to use your gifts.
As the CG serves together, this deepens the connection to each other and to the church.  Serving as a CG also gives the group more opportunities to invite others they see on the weekend to their CG.
That concludes our look at the 5 Core Values of Community Groups.  I would love to hear your feedback about how one or many of these values has impacted you as you attend Keystone and Community Groups.

Why Volunteer?

Author: Eric Colquett
Serving in the local church should be an intregal  part of every Christ Followers life.  In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul talks about how each of us are gifted as Christ-Followers.  Each of us has a part to play in the body of Christ.  We should always be striving to use the gifts that God has given us to build up the church.  God has not called us to be spectators but to be a part of the team that helps the church achieve its purpose.  At Keystone, that purpose is to help others become passionate followers of Christ.
For some, this means that they make themselves available to welcome guests and help them feel like they are a part of the family. This is accomplished by providing a very personal atmosphere through our Welcome Team, Parking Team, and Check-in Teams. For others, this means that they are using their gifts to help create cool environments to invite lost friends. This is accomplished through our Audio/Visual Team and Atmosphere Teams.  Still others are using their gifts to help kids and students learn about God in creative ways.  Our Little Campers, Camp Keystone, The Lodge and Youth teams help us accomplish this. All of these things help us achieve a place where together we can Love God, Love Others and Love Life.

This Fall, we are experiencing major growth at Keystone.  This is the time of year that we see many, many new families coming through our doors. If you are a member of Keystone, evaluate how you are using your gifts to serve the church.  Are you actively looking for ways to be a part of the church?  If not, now is a great time to get started!

A great opportunity to jump in is at the SERVOLUTION on September 19/20.
If you would like to get started serving or would like to step up your service, please email me at eric@keystonechurch.com.
